Hi, I´m Jaimi

My name is Jaimi, and I am a mom who loves to encourage other mothers in the season of raising children, making a home, and staying focused on the end goals of motherhood. I am the mom of four, including a set of twins. I am also a military wife, writer and “professional” playdate planner. We have to meet mom friends somehow, right?!

I studied early childhood education and teaching in college, so I was able to study a lot about child psychology, family dynamics and what research shows about those two factors in the life of children. I decided to channel that background and the feeling like I could really help moms who were just trying to survive at home caring for their families.

The stay at home mom survival guide is my little ministry. The blog has really grown from where it started. It is a resource for mothers, parents, and even teachers.

31 Scriptures to Pray Away Fear

{Post by Lauren} With the start of a New Year I always like to look back and reflect. What did I learn last year? How did I grow? What can I do better moving forward? That being said, I've never been a big fan of New Year's Resolutions. I guess I was just never good at keeping them. It also feels...

DIY Gifts: Save Money and Give with Love

DIY gifts are something I work into my holiday giving every year. They allow me to personalize gifts, give unique treats, and save money. This is all good for our household budget. Letting Go of Shame

Beaming with a smile and tears in her eyes, she quietly whispers to me, “I found myself.” I give her my full attention. She tells me that for years she had stopped doing the things that she loved and now she feels, once again, a passion for it. When she was a younger lady she had a fire in her...

Encouraging Kids to be Thankful

Encouraging Kids to be Thankful

Our family has a tradition of sharing the favorite part of our day with each other. We usually share while we are all together eating dinner. It is one of the ways we are encouraging kids to be thankful every day. Even on nights when daddy is away the girls will make it a point to ask him over the...

Lead a Fitness Challenge Group

We moms tend to push aside our own goals to support the needs of our families. I spent many years doing this. Exercise did not happen, quiet time was never enough, and it gets frustrating. Let’s all get back on track. We can even get our mom-friends involved in getting fit together. If you are a...

We Have Each Other

We Have Each Other

My 17 month old did not sleep well, and as I mentioned, my 4-year-old son was up by 6:30am on most mornings. From the moment I get out of bed, it is move-move-move, until bedtime. Tonight I hit the wall. Single parenting is tough. I feel that I have no right to complain. My husband is not even...
