Hi, I´m Jaimi

My name is Jaimi, and I am a mom who loves to encourage other mothers in the season of raising children, making a home, and staying focused on the end goals of motherhood. I am the mom of four, including a set of twins. I am also a military wife, writer and “professional” playdate planner. We have to meet mom friends somehow, right?!

I studied early childhood education and teaching in college, so I was able to study a lot about child psychology, family dynamics and what research shows about those two factors in the life of children. I decided to channel that background and the feeling like I could really help moms who were just trying to survive at home caring for their families.

The stay at home mom survival guide is my little ministry. The blog has really grown from where it started. It is a resource for mothers, parents, and even teachers.

The Reality of Life with Twins

The Reality of Life with Twins

Try four hours of sleep MAX per night, two sore biceps from carrying two babies around, and a memory that is lifeless. That is life with twins during the first year. When I was pregnant with my twins (baby 3 & baby 4), I read a lot about twin development during...

Heart Butterfly Craft

Heart Butterfly Craft

Today we made such an adorable butterfly craft! It could be cute for Valentine's Day, birthday cards for a loved one or a cute gift for Mother's Day too. I love these little butterflies so much, I have them up on our fireplace mantel to stare at every night. It's just so fun to see my little kids...

I Want a More Organized Life!

This post is sponsored by JMSourcing. View my disclosure for more info. There is nothing like a fresh calendar for me. The new year brings fresh, open days. So Much Snow Day Fun!

So Much Snow Day Fun!

I miss the snow in winter...just a little bit. The magical crystals of white blanketing our yard always looked peaceful and beautiful. We have not lived in an area where snow falls-and sticks-for over 3 years now, so our snow day fun has to be a little more winter activity-inspired. 🙂 Snow days...

Room-by-Room Home Organization Plan

Room-by-Room Home Organization Plan

{Post by Jessica} Cold winter temps mean spending more of your down time stuck in doors. Cabin fever can easily set in, but instead of curling under a blanket eating the last of the Christmas cookies, take this time to review and organize your home. Let’s focus on a room-by-room home organization...

Embrace the Quiet, Let Go of Busy

{Post by Lisa} Sometimes there are no friends around to call and that can be a good thing. I know that this is a strange thing to write. Hang on though and let me explain what I mean. Friends can be too busy or need space or they moved on without us. Or they are tired of waiting for us to call...

Snowflake Foil Craft for Kids

Snowflake Foil Craft for Kids

{Guest post by Tracy Murdock} We have been all cooped up inside due to the cold weather and all 3 of my kids having colds. What a better way to get their imaginations stirring and help them feel a little better, than with a fun art project that can be fun for all ages (even for moms)! Plus, this...

8 Natural Baby Care Tips

8 Natural Baby Care Tips

It was the third time we visited the doctor for my son's skin rash. Living in a humid climate could have been the cause, and we tried the prescribed treatments. Nothing was working. Worse yet were the side effects listed on the tube of cream the doctor recommended. No one ever suggested natural...

A Chore System that Works

A Chore System that Works

{Post by Heather} When you’re growing up there are so many things you become accustomed to because your parents do them. For me one thing my parents instilled in me was doing daily and weekly chores. Getting kids to do chores takes a chore system that works. When I was growing up chores were an...
